Comprehensive Eye Care
The comprehensive exam begins with a through history to access the patient’s needs and concerns. Then we move onto the refraction to be able to determine the actual prescription. In doing so the binocular status of the eyes will be examined to evaluate how the eyes work together. Most importantly there will be an external and internal evaluation of the health of the eyes. This is very important in order to be able to rule out any diseases of the eye. At the end of the exam Dr.Liu will sit down with you and go over any diagnosis and treatment plans. We believe that educating our patient is the best way of communication to a healthy way of seeing.
Children's Eyecare
The truth is that 80% of everything children learn comes through their eyes. Dr. Liu strongly believes in early prevention and exams as a key to a healthy way of seeing. Many times children’s vision problems go undiagnosed leading to poor eyesight and interfering with learning and behavior. At Sarena Eyecare we work patiently with your child to make the experience fun and relaxing.
Glaucoma Detection
Glaucoma is a leading cause of irreversible blindness and can remain undetected in some cases. Vision loss caused by glaucoma is permanent and early detection is your best defense. Glaucoma is a silent eye disease and can be detected during a comprehensive eye exam. Dr. Liu performs the necessary test to determine.
Contact Lens Evaluation
Dr. Liu is very experienced in fitting all types of contact lenses. These can range from a variety of soft and hard contact lens options. Here we will take careful measurements of the shape of the eyes to be able to find the right fit. We have most trial lenses on site to be able to determine if the contact lens will work properly before leaving our office. We want you to be able to experience the freedom of contact lenses.
Emergency CAre
Sudden vision loss, red eyes, painful eyes, flashes of light, corneal abrasions, foreign bodies, eye infection, and eye injuries should be taken seriously. These are just a few of the many eye emergencies that Dr. Liu can treat. Please feel free to contact us anytime if you have any of these concerns.
Diabetes
Dr. Liu highly recommends that all her diabetic patients receive annual retinal exams. This allows us to determine the earliest changes of diabetic complications and Dr. Liu will communicate this with your primary care physician to provide better treatment options.
Dry Eye Evaluation
Symptoms of dry eye is one of the most common ocular complaints we encounter. We understand that this disrupts your daily routine and can affect your quality of life. We have the necessary tools to be able to evaluate your condition and be able to come up with a treatment plan to alleviate the symptoms.
Cataract Managment
If Dr. Liu sees that you have a cataract that requires surgical removal she will refer you to the best surgeons for your specific needs. She is skilled in providing proper post-op care right in her office after your surgery.
Lasik
At Sarena Eyecare we have teamed up with LASIK specialists to make the necessary referral for candidates who are interested in refractive surgery. Once the procedure is complete we will serve as you primary post op care facility. We work closely with the surgeon in managing all necessary follow care and protocols. Our goal is to help you achieve your best vision free from glasses or contact lenses.
